The Rolling Thunder Series will be streamed ‘live’ to both residents across the world, and here in New Zealand. The Pits TV is overseeing this stream whilst working closely with the local track providers. “We have invested a lot of time and money into the sport of Speedway, and now to be associated with the Rolling Thunder Series is fantastic” said Jason Gutteridge – Director, “I know people are going to flock to this stream as the quality of the racing will be first class”, he said.
The Rolling Thunder Series gets underway this weekend at Robertson Holden Speedway – Palmerston North with competitors coming from around the country. Racing starts at 6:30pm.
The Super Saloons, Midgets and Sprint Cars will go head to head with their eyes on the prize pool which totals almost $90,000. They will be joined by two local classes which are Youth Mini Stocks and Stock Cars.

JA Russell and Marley New Zealand are the ‘presenting right sponsors’ of the Series which is an extension of their support having already been involved with Jamie McDonald. “We have our teams at Palmerston North, Tauranga and here in Auckland bringing their major clients to these events,” said Simon Jaffe – General Manager, “and now everyone can watch the whole thing when the rounds are away from home, everyone wins,” he said.
