In addition to our Live Stream Coverage and after a four year hiatus, New Zealand’s Premier Open Wheel Speedway is thrilled to announce that it we be back on mainstream television with a 15 show schedule across Sky Sport and free to air Prime Television.
Airing on a prime time Thursday night slot the newly branded “Thursday Night Thunder” will air 15 one hour shows highlighting our key meetings across our classes in what is a bumper 90th Jubilee Season at the iconic Western Springs venue.
“We are pleased to be able to come to an arrangements with Sky and Prime that will enable us to showcase our Sports hero’s, and our corporate venue partners. This is another great platform that can help the teams get sponsors to support them with their racing. “ said Bill Buckley, Managing Director of Springs Promotions.
Executive Producer Dave Hedge from Volt TV was extremely pleased that we could get this arrangement in place “ Western Springs is a market leader in dirt Motorsport when it comes to the live show that is produced each show, it makes total commercial sense that Sky and Prime were only too happy to have it as part of their Motorsport Portfolio”.
“This is a great opportunity for the sport and race fans nationally, with stakeholders set to see benefit from the mainstream exposure” Speedway NZ General Manager Zoe Irons
Thursday Night Thunder will air from Mid November and a branding partnership will be announced in a coming weeks.
