Q & A – Stephen Wilson – #28 F2 Midget

Q: How did you get into racing speedway?
A: My brother and I built a F2 midget together with the help of our Dad.

Q: What are your goals for the 2016/17 season?
A: My goal this season is to be consistent and finish every feature race.

Q: How do you rate the F2 Midget class and why did you chose to compete in this category?
A: F2’s are a great class, very competitive and I see F2’s being the biggest class at Western Springs. We chose F2’s because of the cost factor which is very low compared to an A grade midget.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your downtime away from the speedway track?
A: I like having the weekends off at home, working on the car and my house.

Q: Who do you admire in the racing circles and why?
A: I admire Michael Pickens as he always puts on an awesome show and I’ve learnt a lot from him.

Q: Have you always been a motorsport fan and what have you raced in the past?
A: I’ve been going to Western Springs for 30+ years. I raced Karts off and on for 10 years when I was 16.
