Making his fifth full international series appearance (he appeared for the rained out 50-lapper in 2016/17), the full-time NASCAR driver will be one of the favourites. The winner of the 2018/19 NASCAR All-Star race has amassed 10 International Midget Series wins including a sweep of the 2012/13 schedule. He won both the World Midget 30-lapper and BC39 features at Western Springs last season, finished second to Michael Pickens on Boxing Night and was well in contention before crashing in the 50-lapper.

Larson rose to fame in the US driving for Keith Kunz, earning the nickname “young money” for his youthful appearance and prize money accumulation. Such was Larson’s ascension he never won a USAC title in any division. Despite an intense NASCAR schedule, Larson continues to race dirt with regularity. Larson won 4 USAC Midget races this season, including the final three in a row after purchasing his own Midget, utilising a King chassis. Larson also has eight World of Outlaws Sprintcar wins.

His NZ car owner Harley Taylor has moved from a Bullet by Spike Chassis/ TRD to a KING/ TRD an identical combination to what Kyle owns and runs himself stateside.
