November 26th 2016 will be Night #2 at WXC Speedway Western Springs. With all the usual classes racing that night, we will witness the first running of the ‘Oval Superstar Tour’ at the venue.
The organisers of the ‘Oval Superstars’ are thrilled to finally get the opportunity to bring this field of cars to the Western Springs venue. “For the last three years we have pushed to be included in the race schedule”, said James Hadley “it’s great for these top drivers to finally get the chance to experience the place”, he said.
The field of 20 cars will include:
2NZ Dean Cooper: 2NZ, North Island Champ, Oval Superstars Tour Champion,
37K Jade Barnett: Former Oval Superstars Tour Champ, former 2NZ,
41P Shane Dewar: Taranaki Champ,
57H Ben Vaughan: Back to back Oval Superstars Tour #2,
93P Karl McGill: 14/15 OST Oval Open Champ
The fans will be watching to see just how quick these cars are at Western Springs, given they are slightly heavier than an Open Grade Midget, they have the assistance of the wing however, the engine is much smaller with a limit of 1340cc. The upshot is they are all very similar in race speed, so the racing will be fiercely contested.
With the running of the Auckland Championships for all classes, and the Oval Superstars, it will be a huge night of racing, and tickets will be available at www.ticketek.co.nz
