‘Loyet heads home’

Having run Round 1 at Vodafone Speedway – Western Springs it would be fair to say that we had a little bit of everything which often makes the price of admission all worthwhile.
Unfortunately for Brad Loyet, he got caught up in a racing incident to which he reacted to. This in itself was just ‘part of the show’ and some of the crowd seemed to enjoy the little bit of pushing and shoving.
If it had ended there, Brad might well be racing at Round 2 in Palmerston North and then back to Western Springs this weekend. He however decided to continue his rant in the Race Control Tower earning him a 22-day ban, he made it very clear that he wasn’t staying and would change his flights and head home.
“It’s a real shame to lose a competitor like Brad at this early stage” said Greg Mosen – Promoter, “especially given the investment made to bring him down. I am sure there is more to his story, we will continue on without him and now look forward to two great shows this week”, he said.
The Kiwi’s won the Team Race in Round 1, and we have Pole Shuffles organised at both the next two rounds. Great to see these top guys run wheel to wheel for two laps, it doesn’t get any better.
