2016 Speedway New Zealand Awards

leaderboards

The 2016 New Zealand Speedway Awards will be a celebration of the 2015/16 season. The awards encompass all aspects of speedway, and celebrate high achievement both on and off the track.

This year the awards will be held at the Brentwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Wellington on Saturday June 18.

With over 40 categories, we now require your nominations over the 4 major areas: Media/Promotion, Individual, Track, and Competitor.

Most of the awards are similar to last year, with a change to the nomination criteria in two categories. National and Promotional event of the Year have been tweaked as follows:

Speedway Promotions of the Year: This award is to acknowledge the race series that take place throughout a season. Be it two tracks working together or a complete race series over a multitude of tracks, this award will showcase the best.

Promotional Event of the Year: This award is for any race meeting at an individual speedway track. This should be a highly sought after award.

Nominations close on Thursday April 28, and all supporting information must be submitted to Speedway NZ by that date.
